Visual Studio ALM Rangers

Visual Studio ALM Rangers deliver out of band solutions for missing features or guidance.

On 29th of February, for the first time in our history, the Visual Studio ALM Rangers sim-shipped a dozen projects to CodePlex in conjunction with the Visual Studio 11 BETA. We increased the breath of projects when we sim-shipped on CodePlex in conjunction with Visual Studio 2012 RC. See the announcement for more information.

Who are Rangers?

Visual Studio ALM Rangers mission is to provide out of band solutions for missing features or guidance. Rangers are from Microsoft Product Group, members of Microsoft Services, Microsoft Most Valued Professionals (MVPs) and technical specialists from technology communities around the globe, giving you a real-world view from field practitioners. Rangers are distributed across the globe and have typically higher customer priorities. Usually, they work on Ranger projects in their private free time. See Understanding the Visual Studio ALM Rangers for more information.

Our biggest gig ever!

Over a hundred volunteer Rangers worked together with product group members to create the Visual Studio ALM Readiness solutions. We broke all our past records in terms of scalability, dog fooding and quality, demonstrating what is referred to as “razor sharp focus” and the “the Ranger muscle”.
